Club Coaching

While we have a number of Club Instructors, that take the Come and Try sessions as well as Groups and Beginner courses, Archery Australia (AA) requires Club Coaches to have additional competancies. Some new members may find it helpful (or not) to talk with existing members about their learning experiences but this is no substitute for an AA accredited Instructor or Coach.

To get you started you should have a look at the Archery Australia FAQ's that covers Equipment, Shooting Technique, Judging and Shooting Rules, Tournaments, Records/Awards/Classifications and National Ranking List. Also have a look at Archers Diary to see how scores/results are maintained.

The OzBow system is also a great starting point that gives you performance based goals that challenge you as an individual archer.

Use the Coaching Goals document to set your goals and the Coaching Awards document to keep track of your progress with your Coach.

If you would like more information about coaching options at Paringa please email coaching@paringa.archerytasmania.org.au

If you are interested in becoming an Instructor or Coach have a look at the National Coaching Program on the AA website.
